Renew in September! Brew in November!

Good afternoon everybody,

As the summer winds down and vacations turn from plans into memories, it's time to look ahead to a brand new year of homebrewing and UNYHA!

With our September meeting coming up this Wednesday (7:30pm at Bathtub Billy's), the website is once again accepting member sign-ups and payment for the 2016-2017 year.  $30 for individuals and $50 for couples, register through the club's website on the "Join Us" page and see our Treasurer, Steve Howles, at the meeting to get your membership card.

I'd like to also announce that UNYHA, in conjunction with Swiftwater Brewing Co., will be hosting a Learn To Homebrew Day event on November 5th, as part of an international event coordinated by the AHA.  We'll be getting a group of homebrewers to bring their equipment and setup in the parking lot early that morning to each brew a batch of whatever they'd like.  We'll also have three brewers doing more detailed explanations of typical brew configurations: All-Grain, Brew-In-A-Bag, and Extract.

Those interested will need to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with a few details about your brew setup (all-grain/biab/extract, batch size, # of burners you'd bring, etc.), and how long you've been brewing.  I don't know the exact number of brewers we can take, but I will let everyone know as soon as possible and provide additional details about the brew day.  Just make sure your brew operation is mobile enough (Swiftwater provides water hookup with hose fitting, you bring everything else you'll need) and be able to get there by about 8am.  Swiftwater needs their parking lot back in the afternoon, since they'll be open regular hours that day.

Any questions This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  My inbox is always open for questions or comments.  I'll unfortunately miss this week's meeting (stupid work travel) but you'll be in good hands with Rich, Steve, and Bob!

Cheers,
